DLK Apparel | Thursday, August 21, 2008

Sometimes student entrepreneurs have an important insight on the energy behind being a self-starter. This insight can take many forms: innovative technology, a different marketing technique, or a whole business focused on one message. Students are seen as creating a new sense of identity in this new globalized society, so why not define it positively and based on the greatness within us? That is what DLK Apparel has done:
"DLK Apparel differentiates itself with innovative designs and messages that exhibit the values and dreams of the entrepreneurial culture. DLK, a twofold acronym, represents our lifestyle-Dress Like Kings, and our philosophy-Dream Like Kings. The clothing promotes classic looks with designs that demonstrate an individuals ambitious spirit. No matter how young or how old, DLK provides clothing that appeals to every crowd, thus every dream. Our outlook is simple: Get dressed. Go dream."
Started by Priya Shah, Paras Shah, and Parag Shah of the University of Southern California, DLK Apparel could be a cultural phenomenon. This could not be any truer than in America where there lives an unyielding entrepreneurial spirit. The youth, in particular, feel a sense of growing independency in a world growing more unpredictable by the day. The philosophy behind this clothing line will find itself with plenty of admirers; self-starters and self-made people think of themselves as special in a society where they may not feel appreciated for their efforts and talents. Hopefully with greater investment and more advertising DLK Apparel will find itself involved in a global movement of strong-minded youth looking to change the world.
